La Manzanilla, Mexico - Basic to Luxury Lodging Options

La Manzanilla, Mexico, the picturesque fishing village on the pacific coast is the perfect destination for a relaxing family vacation. Whether it's basic or luxury La Manzanilla offers a wide variety of lodging options to fit every budget.

Vacation Rentals: The town features many vacation rentals, from small bungalows to luxury multi-bedroom homes on the beach with pools! Some are tucked into the jungle and sport delightful gardens. Others are perched on the hillside and provide breathtaking views of the bay. For families a vacation rental is the perfect option, full kitchens make stays with children more enjoyable, a pool can offer a break from the beach and if you have car there are usually secure places to park. You can find a hideaway for two or a house for a family of four with no difficulty. Rates start at $35 USD a night and go up depending on location. It's a good idea to book early as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break fill-up quickly. As more and more people discover La Manzanilla, Mexico they number of vacation rental choices just continues to grow!

Hotels: La Manzanilla has two modest sized hotels, The Tonala and Puesta del Sol. The Tonala is located across the street from the beach in the center of town and offers nice sized rooms with private baths and fans. Rates are around $25 USD a night. The Puesta del Sol is located just past the main square and a block from the beach. The rooms are on the small side but clean and at $20 a night hard to beat. There are several very basic hotels with shared baths along the main road into town. Just a word of warning about the most basic hotels, be sure to check several rooms and the bathrooms before agreeing to stay. They usually also offer a shared kitchen or at least a shared refrigerator.

Camping: For those on a tight budget camping is a great option! There's nothing like camping on the beach and it's even better with bathrooms and showers nearby. Whether you bring our own tent or your own motor home you'll find a campground that can accommodate you. Campground Concha is just north of town but still and easy stroll to La Manzanilla's grocery stores and restaurants. It includes services like bathrooms, showers and electricity. Just out of town on the other side of highway 200 you'll find a full service motorhome campground with a small store on site.
